If you have ever considered the idea of going green and contributing to the environment to keep it clean and green.. then I solute you my friend! However, if you have investigated the idea of maintaining a "green code", you may have heard all the typical sensible suggestions to go green.
However... what might spice this whole subject up a bit more is doing things a little differently! How about trying things that are a little more creative and shall we say.... WACKY!! In this article we are going to talk about some of the inventive ways in which you can go green and be a little wacky at the same time. Lets take a look at three ways in which you can go green this year!!
1. An Alternative To Your Toilet!
So the first crazy way to go green this year is to avoid using the toilet!! Yip thats right.. skip it! If you need it that badly..... hit your garden when nature calls. This is what the pee outside movement firmly believes in anyways! Every time you flush the toilet, you are using 3 gallons of water. This of course if frowned upon... and since exposing yourself in daylight is not the best idea with your neighbors, you might want to hold your toilet time till nightfall. Just keep telling yourself... its for the cause!! :)
2. Bikini Power!
Our second creative way to go green this year is to go for the solar powered USB bikini. This little device will actually power up your Ipod as you are listening to it on the beach. Whether your walking along the beach or simply sitting under the sun, this solar powered bikini will produce enough power for you to charge your ipod. However, since you are a walking electricity supply in your bikini, its probably best not to go for a swim as you may be in for a serious shock! :)
3. Don't Fly Your Countries Flag On The Side Of Your Car...
My last one sounds slightly ridiculous but thats the whole point of this article eh? Well... apparently when German football supporters fixed flags over their cars on the run up to euro 2008, the Austrian automobile club protested this behavior claiming that it was bad for the environment. Why? Well.. it seems that a fluttering flag on the side of your car reduces the fuel economy of your car... which in turn drains the worlds remaining oil reserves. So the next time you see a bunch of sports fans with flags hanging off the side of their cars, be sure to stop them!!!
Whacky is perhaps not the word to describe the ways in which this article has suggested you to go green! However, if you would like to take the sensible approach to renewable energy, why don't you take a look at our Green DIY Energy Review or check out our energy 2 green review. homemade solar panels are not difficult to build, you just need the right guidance.
